The NY Pancyprian Freedoms started their Spring season of the Eastern Premier Soccer League 1st Division with a thrilling 5-3 victory over Manhattan Celtic on Sunday, March 6th on Randall’s Island.

The winter is a time to work even harder to prepare for a competitive Spring 2022 season of New York City soccer. At Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club we strive to create opportunities for all our players to learn and compete all year long. On Monday, February 28th, Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club hosted the Spring 2022 updates zoom call for parents. Hosted by EPSC Directors Billy Antoniou and Paul Kontonis, the meeting recapped the Winter updates and provided information about for the upcoming spring season.

Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club is partnering up with Julian Escobar, current FIFA U.S Futsal National Team player, to host Friday night Futsal training and games program starting on Friday, February 4th at St. John’s Prep, 21-21 Crescent Street in Astoria, Queens. It was a great 2022 MLS Super Draft night for NY Pancyprian Freedoms (NYPF) with current NYPF Forward Youssoufi going to MLS champions NYCFC and former Forward Tani Oluwaseyi picked in Round 1 by Minnesota United FC and former Midfielder Skage Simonsen picked in Round 3 by DC United.

NY Pancyprian Freedoms (NYPF) are proud to announce that El Mehdi Youssoufi was the 28th draft pick in the third round of the 2022 MLS Super Draft by NYCFC.

The first annual Holiday Invitational “Battle for Astoria Park” pick-up game was held on December 23, 2021 hosted by Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club, NY Pancyprian Freedoms and Vera’s Soccer Academy. The winner stays-on 11x11 games featured over 40 players from the host clubs plus BW Gottschee, Met Oval and many top New York City high school and regional college soccer teams.

Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club President Nicos Tziazas presided over the 2021 EPSC Holiday dinner on Monday, December 13, 2021 with members of the board, club directors, coaches and managers from the EPSC youth programs in attendance. Tziazas thanked everyone for helping the club continue to grow and support its vibrant New York City community.

The Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) has partnered with andGO Sports to host the 5th annual Boys Cosmopolitan Winter College Showcase.The College ID event series starts with tryouts to identify the top evaluated players to showcase their abilities in the final round robin showcase. The final day is Monday, December 13th at Randall’s Island, New York City.

In a strong and commanding performance, the NY Pancyprian Freedoms handed the New Amsterdam FC II their eighth loss of the Fall 2021 season in the Metropolitan Conference of the Eastern Premier Soccer League with a 5-1 victory on Sunday, December 5, 2021.

Long time Eleftheria Pancyprian and NY Pancyprian Freedom player Tasos Polydefkis had the decisive goal in the 45” to make the NY Pancyprian Freedoms O-30 victorious over the NY Greek American Soccer Club O-30 in the ENYSSA Gerhard Mengel Amateur Cup final on December 2, 2021 at Maritime College.
