First Annual Holiday Invitational in Astoria Park

The first annual Holiday Invitational “Battle for Astoria Park” pick-up game was held on December 23, 2021 hosted by Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club, NY Pancyprian Freedoms and Vera’s Soccer Academy. The winner stays-on 11x11 games featured over 40 players from the host clubs plus BW Gottschee Academy, Met Oval Academy, many top New York City high schools, regional college soccer teams and internationally-based US players from Croatia and Spain.

“This was a great experience for the players to team up with old friends and new acquaintances before the holidays,” said Paul Kontonis, Director of Club Development at EPSC. “We are always thankful for the opportunity to bring together players from the New York City area that truly love soccer.”

Big thank you to our partners at Vera’s Soccer Academy for helping make the night a success. See you in 2022!
