Former NYPF Players Oluwaseyi and Simonsen Picked in 2022 MLS SUPER DRAFT

It was a great 2022 MLS Super Draft night for NY Pancyprian Freedoms (NYPF) with current NYPF Forward Youssoufi going to MLS champions NYCFC and former Forward Tani Oluwaseyi picked in Round 1 by Minnesota United FC and former Midfielder Skage Simonsen picked in Round 3 by DC United. These outstanding college players demonstrate that the focus of NYPF and of Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club is player development.

The Nigerian-born, Canadian national Tani Oluwaseyi played for St. John’s University with total of 20 goals. Despite being sidelined by a knee injury in 2021, Oluwaseyi battled back to make appearances for St. Johns and NYPF.

The Norwegian midfielder Skage Simonsen, split his collegiate career between Southern Methodist and St. John’s University and is a powerfully-built 6’3” box-to-box midfielder, His time with NYPF in 2021 was marked by powerful midfield play and a strong sense of competition.
