Pano Onisiforou Named Technical Director of Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club
Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club is pleased to announce that Pano Onisiforou has been named Technical Director of the club, with responsibility for overseeing player development across our programs.
Pano is not new to EPSC. He has already been an important part of our coaching staff, working directly with our players and teams. His new role expands that responsibility, allowing him to work with coaches and players throughout the club while helping strengthen our overall development model.
As Technical Director, Pano will focus on player development, coaching support, curriculum alignment, training methodology and the continued development of a clear pathway for our players from the younger age groups through our older teams.
His role will be centered on one of the club’s core principles: development first. The goal is to create consistency throughout our programs while continuing to give coaches the tools, support and guidance they need to help each player reach their potential.
Pano Onisiforou
Pano brings both playing and coaching experience to his new position. A native of Cyprus, he played competitive football in Cyprus before continuing his soccer career in New York. His playing background includes experience with clubs such as APEP, Anorthosis Famagusta, Ethnikos Achna, Nea Salamina, Ermis Aradippou and ASIL Lysi.
Pano has also been part of the New York Pancyprian soccer program for a number of years, including serving as head coach and player of the Pancyprians’ men’s team.
Today, Pano continues to work directly with our youth players while taking on a broader leadership role within EPSC. He currently coaches within our Zone 1 program, including the U12 boys and U11 girls, giving him firsthand experience with the players, coaches and development environment he will now help oversee across the club.
Building a Stronger Player Pathway
The addition of Pano as Technical Director is another step in the continued growth of Eleftheria Pancyprian Soccer Club.
Our objective is simple: to develop better players, better coaches and a stronger pathway for every player in our club.
Pano will work closely with our directors and coaching staff to help create greater consistency between teams and age groups while maintaining the individual focus that has always been central to our player development philosophy.
We are excited to have Pano take on this expanded role and look forward to the impact he will have on the continued development of our players and coaches.
