Welcome Jerry Kokkinos: A New Leader for Our Micro/Intramural Soccer Program
Eleftheria-Pancyprian Soccer Club is proud to welcome Jerry Kokkinos as the new Director of our Micro/Intramural Soccer Program.
With more than 18 years of coaching experience across soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, and softball, Jerry brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for working with young athletes. Throughout his coaching career, he has focused on teaching the values that extend well beyond the field—teamwork, discipline, confidence, perseverance, and having fun while learning the game.
A Proven Leader in Youth Sports
Jerry's experience with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) as both a volunteer coach and administrator has provided him with extensive experience developing teams, managing programs, coordinating events, and creating positive environments for young athletes.
His teams have also enjoyed tremendous success, including six consecutive Diocesan Boys' Soccer championships, as well as the first-ever Diocesan Girls' Basketball and Flag Football championships in Astoria.
Building the Right Foundation
As Director of our Micro/Intramural Program, Jerry will play an important role in helping establish the foundation of our youngest players. His philosophy centers around creating an environment where children can learn, improve, compete, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for the game.
At Eleftheria, we believe the early years of a player's development are incredibly important. It's not just about winning games. It's about teaching young players how to train, how to be a good teammate, how to overcome challenges, and how to enjoy being part of a team.
Jerry's approach aligns perfectly with that vision.
